Pushing with Peanut Balls + Video

You don’t have to have a baby in stirrups!
There are so many positions and ways to push a baby out, even in a hospital, even with an epidural! You do not have to have a baby in stirrups.

I repeat … You do NOT have to push on your back if you’re not feeling it! Even if your nurse wants you to. Even if your provider wants you to.  NOPE

This video will review some of my fav peanut ball positions for pushing:

  • Tuck position (shown above)
  • Hip Tilt Tuck
  • Tuck and Pull (peanut ball between legs, pulling on sheet with hands)
  • Knees Together

If you’re looking for a ball for home or to take with you to the hospital, Amazon has them here, and they’re really affordable.

I know what you’re thinking – and no, I won’t stoop to your level and make a testicle joke right now. Perv.

But your second thought: the answer is YES, these moves can all be done while pushing with an epidural!

More balls! All the peanut ball info, please! I got you covered right here.

You want to feel like the ass-kickin, name-takin, decision-making adult that you are while giving birth, but hospitals are weird and not  your area of expertise. Also, childbirth is kind of a loaded subject.

Don’t worry! You can learn online all about

  • contractions
  • how to help make them happen when it’s baby time
  • how manage all the feels in the thick of it
  • and even how to have conversations with your care providers without sounding like you don’t know what you’re talking about!

Save So Much time without the weeks of hee hee hoo hoo classes!

Because babies need a lot of stuff, and pinterest boards of nurseries and Target registeries don’t just happen on their own! 😉 #morehoursintheday
