A bedside debriefing of the birth experience with someone is a powerful tool for reflection and healing, and takes training, practice, and reflexivity. Join us to dispel myths about birth debriefing and understand how you can apply this vitally important skill with your patients.
At the end of this workshop the participant will be able to:
- Identify basic elements of a bedside debrief, and distinguish between benefits to patients and benefits to nursing staff.
- Develop strategies for conducting a postpartum debrief and overcoming barriers using provided scripts.
