Mandy Irby is a trauma-focused labor and delivery nurse and transformational speaker who’s worked with thousands of compassionate nurses committed to improving psychological safety in childbirth.

define informed decision making in your own words in the context of peanut ball use in labor and birth.
list the 3 Ps of proper peanut ball sizing and explain in your own words the steps of determining how to safely size a peanut ball with a client in labor.

3. assess how inappropriate sizing impacts birth physiology and patient comfort.

4. choose effective peanut ball positions to offer clients in early, active, and pushing stages that are appropriate for suspected fetal station and aligned with their goals.
