Prevent Birth Trauma, Together
With recent studies now confirming when birth trauma goes up, vicarious trauma does too, its more important than ever that we don’t just see them as two separate issues but one two headed beast.
Our programs, pregnancy coaching and nurse memberships help shift the paradigm from a controlled, “standard” birth to a trauma informed, patient-centered birth. In other words, we support the birther and their body as they bring new life into the world. This is a huge shift for parents with previous traumas as well as the L&D nurse community, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this movement.
- 44% of birthers will experience birthing trauma
- 54% of nurses feel moderate burnout
- Many leave industry between 6-10 yrs if facility lacks support
- Secondary trauma affects staff retention and quality of care
“I have the unique perspective of being both, a L&D Nurse and a parent that had a traumatic birth. ”
