Course Synopsis
Your foundation to trauma-informed perinatal care at the bedside. This is the facilitated deep-dive for labor & birth nurses who know social justice is the foundation of nursing and believe trauma-informed practices should be the center of every care interaction.
Course Description
This program is here to support your transition from a Standard of “Helping” to a Trauma-Informed Standard of Advocacy (don’t worry, we all started at the “helping” stage if we went to a nursing degree program or had an orientation process. You’re right where you belong).
The confidence and skills to make changes in birthcare from the inside out.
Before you get started, we have a recommended course schedule:
Learning trauma-informed care and all the interconnected topics can feel a bit heavy to learn.
If you’re feeling resistance to getting started, that’s ok! Try to find where that’s coming from.
We’ve designed the modules to be worked through in order, but if choosing your own order works best, do that.
There are also some modules that may need to be skipped. Honor that need for yourself, come back to them if you can/want to.
We recommend 3 months to complete this program. That’s about 2 modules per month plus
- the Live Processing and Embodiment calls with Renee and
- Office Hours with the team
Thank you for the hard work, learning, and unlearning you’re doing to improve our communities and for choosing the Trauma-Informed Birth Nurse Program to continue becoming the baddie patient advocate that you are!
TIBN Workbook
Oops! Did you forget to add the TIBN Companion Guide and Workbook to your order?
