Trauma-Informed Birth Nurse Program FAQs

Trauma-Informed Birth Nurse Program FAQ's

Of course you’re wondering what I’m doing writing when I’ve got a whole program to organize — and you’re right. Eeeeek!
This program ….it’s different. I’ve never seen SO many incredible minds in a self-study L&D nurse program nor have I ever experienced such a huge change in L&D nursing standard of care! (there are a lot of moving pieces!)

But alas, I’m also getting important questions that I thought you might be wondering, too.

So many of you have already taken the leap into the Trauma-Informed Birth Nurse Program 💃🕺 and we’re doing pointer-finger happy dances Every Single time we see a new student pop in!

If you’re not in yet, this might help you decide if it’s work you’re ready for:

  • What if I can’t swing the fee right now?
    • The program fee is used to cover expenses and pay all contributors (this includes educators, creators, and parents). You should definitely present the program to your employer. We provide a thorough Reimbursement Request form and it includes an info flyer as well.
    • You can also pay in installments. There’s a payment plan option for 6 months or apply for a longer payment plan or full or partial scholarship.
    • Psssst, stay on this email list for an upcoming workshop that’ll have one more option to ease financial access 😻
  • What’s a beta tester?
    1. Beta testing means a lower price, yes, and additional surveys – so the pre and post surveys might be longer and we’ll probably send a mid-program survey and one out a little further out after finishing the program.
    2. Also, for the next 6 months (that’s 2 cohorts of time) you’ll get everything that’s added to the Foundations course. You also get lifetime access to the online community. Oh, and the beta tester team is smaller. We’re keeping in small so we can give more attention to the members during this first cohort. You don’t have a shortened version – it’s the full program, baby!
  • Can CNMs join?
    • Let’s do it! The program was created specifically by and for L&D staff nurses, but we’d love to highlight the parallels in nurse midwifery and are open to a select few CNMs joining us this round!
  • Is this the last cohort? I want to take it in the new year.
    • Heck no, this isn’t the last of us. We’re just getting started! 😏 Learning a whole new nursing standard of care is …um… kinda a big deal. Also, trauma in the healthcare system and our own lives is no small matter, either!
    • This program is a total transformation. You should be ready for learning, reflecting, integration, challenges, and growth when you join a cohort.
    • October 2021 is the first cohort, and we’ll be opening spots for Jan 2022 cohort by the end of the year. 😉

Great questions, and if you have more that aren’t on this list, just send them my way.
