There are so many positions and ways to push a baby out, even in a hospital, even with an epidural! You do not have to have a baby in stirrups.
I repeat … You do NOT have to push on your back if you’re not feeling it! Even if your nurse wants you to. Even if your provider wants you to. NOPE

This video will review some of my fav peanut ball positions for pushing:
- Tuck position (shown above)
- Hip Tilt Tuck
- Tuck and Pull (peanut ball between legs, pulling on sheet with hands)
- Knees Together

But your second thought: the answer is YES, these moves can all be done while pushing with an epidural!
